Thirty-four -Congress workers were arrested in tho United Proviaccs for carrying out propaganda work in connection with Gandhi’s campaign. A movement is boiug started among Indian women to boycott foreign yarn and cloth. It is understood that Gandhi is disappointed with tho results of his march to the sea coast. He received little hospitality or support from tho villagers in tho Broach district, und a large number of village headman, who resigned under pressuro from Gandhi, havo now applied to the Government for ro-instatement. This has caused bitterness among the Mahatma’s followers, whose morale is already suffering by reason of the fact that nearly 30 of their number havo fallen out owing to sickness. It is believed in Government quarters that if the authorities combine patience with firmness, Gandhi’s campaign will provo a complete fiasco.
