SUICIDE THEORY DISMISSED. WIDOAV RECEIVES £741 AS FULL COMPENSATION. Per Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night. Deciding against the suggestion that Richard Morris had committed suicide by throwing himself under a steam roller, the Arbitration Court to-day awarded Morris’ widow £741, the full amount claimed, as compensation from the Hawera County Council, by whom Morris was employed. Deceased was crushed by a roller while working on the road. Evidence was to the effect that ha suffered from ill-health and was subject to dizzy turns. Tho driver of the roller said ho seemed to throw himself under tho roller deliberately, but other evidence was that Morris had shown no suicidal tendencies.
