Overseas League
The Overseas League which was founded iu 1910 and incorporated by Royal Charter in 1922 has as its primary aims and objects the drawing together in the bond of comradeship, British subjects tho world over and the encouraging of individual servieo to the British Empire, a spirit of cooperation which is perhaps needed tolay more than at any previous time. It is a non-sectarian and non-party organisation for among other things tho promotion of patriotism in no spirit of hostility to any other nation and for the collection and. distribution of information regarding natural resources and openings for trade throughout the Empire. The privileges appertaining to membership includo a monthly magazine which alone costs more than the year’s subscription to produce. Then again, for those contemplating a trip Home, there is the beautifully-appointed Overseas Club in the heart of London at which members may stay and enjoy all the amenities of a first-class London Club, accommodation being provided of both sexes at very reasonable rates. The'subscription for new members is £1 10s which comprises 10s entrance fee and two years’ subscriptions in ad-
vance. At the end of tho two years, the subscription may bo renewed yearly at tho rate of 10s. Full particulars may be obtained from the lion, secretary, Mr F. G. Opie, box 110, Palmerston North.
