MAYOR’S WARNING. Per Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night. A statement was made at the New Plymouth Borough Council meeting tonight that men were coming to town, with the object of obtaining employment on the sewerage works about to be undertaken. The Mayor said tho council was pledged to employ local men and already it was known that twice as many men as would be required were available. It had somehow got abroad that there would be a great demand for men but ho felt it necessary to warn outsiders that it was utterly useless to come to New Plymouth.
