Bridge Party at “Glenorchy,” Cheltenham

Misses Flora and Ruth Conway gave a very delightful bridge party on Friday afternoon at their home, s ‘ Glenorchy, ’ * Cheltenham, the guest of honour at which was Miss Kathleen Johnston. Quantities of sweet peas in pastel shades were arranged in the drawing-room with light and dainty effect, while lovely flowers in tones of deep gold and blue adorned the diningroom. A merry time was spent by the players at five tables, and the afternoon proved full of interest. Prizewinners were: Mrs. Pat. Burrell and Miss Dorothy Burrell. The tea tables provided the guests with every delicacy. Attractive frocks of floral silk voile were worn by the young hostesses, Miss Flora Conway’s being in shades of pink, while that of Miss Ruth Coniway was in tints of blue. Miss Johnston was charming in a silk jumpersuit with navy skirt and bodice of soft rose pink banded in navy. Her hat was in a shade to tone. Those present were: Mesdames R. Redmayne, W. H. Burrell, J. Buchanan, Hugh Hare, and Misses M. Johnston, N. Pratt, K. Buchanan, P. Goodbehere, N. Hocking, Amy Hare, D. Burrell, R. McClure, J. Harper, P. Harper, M. Ross, M. Fry, A.
