Except for sports models, fur coats stow the dressmaker, tendency. The straight-line coat is relegated to informal occasions. and the dress garment is fashioned in a variety of silhouettes, with dressmaker details and colour combinations. Pastel-coloured furs are seen, besides the serviceable tones to which one is accustomed, and the more inexpensive pelts, when these are most suitable for incrustations and soft trimmings, are freely used. Lapin, leopard, Arabian kid-skin and mink gills are used for trimmings or formal coats as well as for entire sports coats, and the flat furs in general have the preference. Envelope purses may bo had tQ match coats and fur helm«*i often add comfort and charm to the sports models.
