Moderich Takes K.O. While Sitting Down
UNSATISFACTORY AND UNPOPULAR DECISION. United Press Association.—By Electrie Telegraph .—Copyright. Received Thursday, 1.5 a.m. MELBOURNE, Feb. 12. Fred Young (England) 13.13, knocked out George Moderich (New Zealand) 14.1 in the third round at the Melbourne Stadium to-night. It was an unsatisfactory ending to an even bout. Moderich was off his balance and went down to a light tap in tho third round. The majority considered tho final blow was delivered while Modcrick was in a sitting position. It was an unpopular decision. Tho New Zealander was in no way distressed and was cheered at tho finish.
