Eveyln Brent, ' the “Pearl" of *the play, and Otis' Harlan also were lending an attentive ear—each, not between thorn—as Fejos discoursed on the modern miracle of the talkies. ‘ ‘ Why, ’ ’ he said, ‘‘ we were recording in all -sorts of languages—in French, German, Italian, Spanish, Hungarian— ” It was then that Hal Mohr, the irrepressible camera-man who photographed the £300,000 super-super, broke in: • ' -* :l ‘ - . “Yes, doctor," he -said, “and we even tried English, didn’t we?"
