Portrays Brother in Screen Role
THOMAS JACKSON’S brother is a member of the New York homicide squad—a detective in real life. And that's why Jackson’s interpretation of the role of Dan -McCorn the' detective, is such a marked success in ‘‘ Broadway, ” the super talking picture' coming to the De Luxe Theatre this afternoon. The actor modestly insists; that in the part which he played in New York for 90 consecutive weeks, he is frankly portraying his brother, "William, and the latter’s methods. “Bill has been on the force there for 14 years,” said Jackson, “so when I was asked-to play the part I naturally went to him for advice. He has successfully used huma-nitarian and psychological methods instead-of the ‘third degree,’ so I decided to do the same thing on the stage.” Jackson and Paul Poreasi, who created the role of Nick the Greek in the pla.y, both' did their same parts for the picture version,' produced by Carl Luenimle, Jr., and directed by Dr. Paul Fejos, for Universal.
