Mrs G. Weston-Webb, of Palmerston North, is visiting Auckland.
Mrs .E. J. Keating and Miss B. Keating have returned to Palmerston North from Auckland.
Mrs H. Prevett, of London, formerly Miss Joan Levin, is staying with Mrs J. T. Bosworth, Fitzherbert avenue.
Misses Moira and Ngaira Coughlan have returned to Palmerston North, after having spent their holidays in the South Island and Wellington.
Mrs. Mary Stothart, one of the old: cts identities of Napier, died at- her residence on Sunday at the grand old age of 99 years. The deceased lady was the relict of the late Mr. John Stothart, who was a settler in the Clive district for many years, having a dairy farm there. About 50 yearns ago, he and his wife retired to live in Napier, and Mrs._ Stothart had resided there over since. Though of a quiet and retiring disposition, s-ho was very highly regarded by a close circle of friends as a woman of the One old pioneeding type. Of her family, Messrs R. and G. Stothart and Mesdames McLeod and Quinlan and Nurse Stothart are left to mourn their loss. Several grandchildren also survive.
