RADIO NOTES. Excerpts from the “talkies” at the Majestic will be introduced into lYA’s programme this evening and every Tuesday evening. The programme for the evening will be mainly operatic. The artists contributing to the programme will include Miss Irene Frost, contralto, a very popular young singer. She will sing two solos from ‘Faust’ and ‘Habanera,’ from ‘Carmen.’ Mr. Reg. Richards (baritone) who is shortly leaving for Sydney will also be singing. Misses Edna and Phyllis Tye : who for their previous appearance at IYA were very successful iu then piano and vocal numbers, are agair performing. Instrumental items wil. be played by the Studio Trio, including 'cello solos by Miss Molly Wright. Air A. B. Chappell, M.A., will deliver an other of his topical talks and the pro gramme will conclude with a gramo phone recital by Air. Karl Atkinson

‘Gems from ‘Faust.’ ’ There will be the usual weekly talk from 2YA for the man on the land at 7.40 this evening. The evening's studio concert programme will continue till 9.30, to be followed by a dance music session till 11 p.m. The 2YA Salon Orchestra, under Mr. Mat Dixon will play the overture :Orpheus in the Underworld,’ ‘Rosse’s ‘Gabrielle Suite’ aud D’Ambrosio’s ‘Air de Danse.’ Two items will, be contributed by a trio consisting of Alessrg. W. Haydock, S. Chapman and M. Dixon. The vocalists for the evening will be Miss Anne Davies (soprano), Miss Lily Charles (singer of . popular songs), and Mr. Harry Phipps (tenor), while humour will be provided by Mr. Len Ashton. Included on the programme to be given by the Kaikorai Band at 4YA is an arrangement of the famous sextette from ‘Lucia di Lammermoor.’ The band will also play on this occasion the two overtures, ‘Light Cavalry’ and ‘Raymond,’ also the contest march
