Venice Rises in Revolt Against Loud Speakers

This once city of silence, broken only by tender serenades, has risen in revolt against gramophones and loudspeakers. The police aro taking action against the nuisance. It is explained that the peculiar accoustics of Vcnieo amplify to such an extent that jazz becomes deafening across tho narrow canals.
