Chichester Abandons Attempt in Tripoli

It is reported from Tripoli that Mr. F. C. Chichester has abandoned his flight as a result of the damage to his 'plane.
Mr. Chichester prepared for his flight only three weeks before the start. He pledged Mr. E. A. Jones, who gave him his first lessons, to secrecy. Apart from an extra petrol tank, the only special precaution was the installation of a collapsible rubber boat, with a paddle and sail.
