Thunderbolt Strikes Te Aroha Home

STARTLING EXPERIENCE Per Press Association. TE AROHA, Dec. asDuring a heavy thunderstorm yesterday afternoon a thunderbolt, wrttt a loud detonation, struck the chimney of tho residence of Mr. R. L. Scott at le Aroha. A heavy mantelpiece was disroirged and thrown into the room in which Mr. and Mrs.,'Scott and their five children were assembled. Fragments of cement and brickwork were scattered all oi cr the room. No one was scriousry injured. The storm was widespread and was the most violent experienced at Te Aroha for many years. The Thames Valley Power Board** staff had a busy time as a resurt.of fuses blowing out all over the district, but the damage, though general, was of a minor nature.
