A concert relayed from Otorohanga will be broadcast by IYA this evening. A splendidly diversified programme has been arranged and the contributing artists are the best in tho district, where talent is of no mean order. One of the .vocalists will be Mrs. C. Corboy, who sang from 3LO. The concert hits been arranged by Mr. Wreford Wade, who is himself a versatile entertainer.

Friday evening’s programme at 2YA will foature tlip Etude Quartet in vocal gems from the popular musical comedy ‘Tho Quaker Girl.’ The instrumental programme will be provided' by the 2YA Orchestrina under Signor A. P. Truda, playing as an overture, Meyerbeer’s ‘Coronation March,’ Wieniawski’s ‘Kuyawialc,’ a selection from ‘Rose Marie.’ and Robert's arrangement of ‘Master Melodies from Famous Light Operas.' Mr. Errol Muir, the winner of the elocutionary championship at the recent Competitions Festival at Wellington, will recite Robert Service’s poem, ‘The Sotg of the Pacifist’ and a humorous number entitled ‘Bertram on Babies.' Miss Mary Lennie, who is well-known in Wellington as the pianist of the Wellington Amateur Theatrical Society, will on this occasion be heard as a solo pianiste, her item • being Chopin’s ‘Baladc in A Flat.’ The second of the series of talks on quaint New Zealand birds, will be given at 3YA this evening by, Mr. Alec O’Donoghue, Noiy Zealand Institute R.A.O.U. Tho subject will be ‘The Kakapo aiid its Mysteries. The vocalists for the evening’s concert will bo the Valencia Quartet, singing concerted and solo numbers. The concerted numbors will be ‘lt was a Lover and His Las,’, ‘The Long Day Closes,’ and ‘Come Where My Love .Lios Dreaming.’ Humorous recitations will be given by Mr. J. P. Darragh. Dance music will be supplied by the BailcyMarston Dance Orchestra and will continue until 11 p.m. The Paramount Quintet under the direction of Miss Ethel Wallace, a brilliant Dunedin violiniste, will present items by Brahms, Tschaikowsky, Sibelius and Beethoven. This quintet is Of exceptional merit as all the artists of which it, is composed are outstanding soloists. The assisting artists are Miss Mary Somorvilie (contralto), Mr. Mortley Peake (bass), and Miss Tui Northey (elocutioniste).
