Hand-Painted Linen
Sheets and pillow cases decorated with hand-painted flowers are among .the latest ideas. This may sound rather an unpractical notion, but it has been, made possible by the discovery of a medium for painting linen that permits of the article being washed. The exquisite designs are carried out in the softest pastel shades, in some eases a high light is introduced by means of the embroider’s needle. Hand-painted tablecloths have been popular for the last year or so, but these lovely sherets and pillow-cases are only just coming in.
