Feilding’s Reveille
FOR PLUNKET SOCIETY FUNDS. The box plan is now open for the spectacular extravaganza, which opens for a season of four nights at the Tivoli on Tuesday next. Although the name remains the same, the programme items change after the first two performances. There are 46 numbers, attractions and spectacles, out of which 25 will be staged on Tuesday night. Amongst the soloists for the opening prpgmmme will be Mrs Birch Johnston, of Wellington, who will be heard to advantage in a whistling specialty turn in a comedy number and also in two screamingly funny sketches with Mr A. Kingston. Mrs Hall and Miss McClure are both in fine voice and will be supported by full ballets in several numbers. Mr Drew is sure to score a distinct win in "Coquette Sally”, and will also sing and harmonise two numbers with ltr/iss McClure. -Miss F. Waterworth is taking three soubrette numbers, Miss Meg Knyvett will sing the Lamp Shade number and partner Mr Lints in an acrobatic creation. Miss Harrison wili sjn.g a Dutch solo, Miss Joyce Hayward has been entrusted with two solos and will not be found wanting. The comedy work of the production is in the hands of Mr A. Kingston, Mr Noel Harding, Mra Foster, Miss Neilsom, Mr Gibsone, and Mrs Birch Johnston, which is sufficient guarantee that this depart* ment will bo a feature of the production. The whole is supported by a special Reveille orchestra under the direction of Mr Savage, with Mr Carmichael, of Palmerston, on the dnum and effects. The lighting and electrical effects are being carried out by McLeod and Svendsen, and Mir Christensen has a staff of ten men to manipulate the scenery. Patrons are well advised to book early and there is no extra charge for doing so.
