< fixture Concludes LOCAL DOG WINS SHOW CHAMPIONSHIP The Manawatu Kennel Club's Show concluded yesterday with tho completion of judging in the special classes. Owing to tho unfortunate illness of the judge for the toys, terriers, collies, and bull-dogs, (Mr. I). T. Sinclair of Dannevirke), no awards are available in some of the special classes while Mr. Sinclair was unable to forward his comment on the sections which had come before him. Club Trophies. The Spratt Rose bowl for the best dog of all breeds in the show was won by Mr. G. Taylor’s Palmerston North Renaultrao Vagabond (by Warwick Duo—Bidoford Merry Crackers). Miss P. MoColl's Malvern Jester took second place as roserve champion. Mr. G. S. Remington’s (Palmerston North) Lady Jane by Prince Comedy— Jennie (Imp.) won tho Remington Challenge Shield for the best whippet in the show. The cup for the best working sheep dog or bitch went to Mrs. W. G. Shannon’s Palmerston North Peg. The Manawatu Sheep Farmers’ trophy for tho best working sheep dog or bitch was also won by Mrs. Shannon’s Peg. Mr. E. Hall’s (Lower Hutt) Kaiwana Raia won the cup for the best terrier in tho show. The cup for best rough coated collie dog or bitch went to Mr. W. H. Prickett’s (Hamilton) Lcven’s Belle. ' Tho best Pomeranian in the show was adjudged to be M rs - A. M. Jamieson’s (Parnell) Oakland Golden Fire. This dog wins the Nash trophy. The Pomeranian fruit bowl for tho best opposite sex to the winner of the Nash trophy went to Mrs. A. M. Jamieson’s Brighton Fame. Tho cup for the best smooth coated fox terirer was awarded to Mr. E. Hall’s Kaiwana Raia. Mr. J. H. Whittaker’s (Wellington) Desert Gold won the cup for the best maiden smooth coated fox terrier dog or bitch. Tho special for tho best bulldog was won by Mr. J. B. Wainscott’s (Taradale) Bonnio Jock (Imp.) Mr. L. E. Hall’s Palmerston North) Argot Royalist was awarded a special for tho best rough coated collie dog or bitch in the maiden classes. Tho New Zealand Collie Club’s trophies for best rough coated collie bitch and best rough coated puppy, dog or bitch were annexed by Mr. W. H. Prickett’s Levens Belle. The club’s special for the best rough coated collie dog was won by Mr. W. H. Prickett’s Laund Aristocrat. A fourth special for the best rough coated collie novice dog or bitch was won by Mr. L. E. Hall's Argot Royalist. Mr. G. Taylor’s Eenaultrae Vagabond took the special for the best sporting dog or bitch 'in tho show excluding terriers. The Manawatu Cocker Spaniels fanciers’ rose howl for the best cocker dog or bitch was won by Mr. H. Kinder (Remuera) with Woodcroft Jock. The trophy for tho best puppy went to Mr. A. Murnano’s Austral Bobbie. The Puppy Rose vase for the best puppy of all broeds was won by Mr. F. Dainos (Palmerston North) Rheola Paulorno. This dog also won tho cup for the best Irish setter. Whippets:—Best dog, Phillips and Woodward’s (Palmerston North) King Cole, best bitch, Mr. G. S. Remington’s Lady Jane, best maiden dog or bitch, Earle Wimsett’s (Palmerston North) Tip Toes, best racing type dog, G. S. Remington’s Lady Jane. Pointers: —Best dog or bitch, Mrs. J. H. Pyo-Smith’s (Nelson), WakatuPoi. English setters: —Best dog or bitch, Mr. T. W. Munro’s (Napier) Holme Mark, best puppy, either sex, Mr, N. Low’s (Wairoa) Wcelcy Ivan, best setter any variety and any sex, Mr. Munro’s Holme Mark. Irish setters: —Best dog or bitch, and bost puppy of either sex, Mr. F. Daine’s Rhoola Paulorno. Black cocker spaniels:—Best dog or bitch, Mr. H. Kinder’s Woodcroft Jock, bost puppy of either sex, Mr. A. Murnane’s Austral Bobbie. Cocker spaniels, 0.T.8.: —Best dog or bitch, Mr. G.
