AUCKLAND, Lost Night,

A<t a meeting of the Auckland District Racing Committee, a deputation was received from the Auckland Country Racing Clubs' Association in connection with a suggestion that some scheme should be evolved whereby the various district committees should have moTO effective control of racing in thedr respective districts.

It was decided to Teply to the association, that after having heard the views expressed by the members of the deputation “that in the opinion of the committee, the Auckland Provincial Country Racing Clubs’ Association should endeavour to arrange a meeting between the Auckland representatives, provincial and Metropolitan, on the N.Z. Racing Conference ‘to meet representatives from the association to discuss the position in regard to their endeavours to have an alteration made in the powers of district committees.”
