Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd. Teport as under on their Ashurst sale held on Wednesday, October 30. Only one entry of sheep, but a good yarding of cattle and pigs came for•ward. Prices realised right through the sale were quite good and a total clearance was effected. Our quotations are:—Small wether hoggets, 18s.; fat cows, £5 10s., £6, £6 15s. to £7 17s. 6d.: fat heifers, £7 17s. 6d.; forward cows, £4 7s. 6d.; springing cows, £6 10s., £7 10s., £8 12s. 6d., £9.. to £2l 2s. 6d.; springing heifers, £7, £8 10s., £8 12s. 6d., £9 to £10; yearling Jersey heifers, £4 10s. to £6 Bs. 6d.; bulls, £8 2s. 6d. to £8 165.; weaner pigs, 125., 16s. 6d., 17s. 6d. to 195.; porkers, to 355.

There was a fair entry at their Hunterville Cattle Pair on Thursday, October 31. Competition generally was not particularly keen and several pens were passed at auction - , but a number were disposed of privately after the sale.
P.A. bullocks, £ll 65.; S.H. bullocks, £ll 25.; coloured bullocks, £10; 2 and 3-yr. steers, £8 16s. to £9; crossbred yearling steers, £5 to £5 125.; light fat P.A. cows, £7 15s. There was a very fair entry of sheep at their Feilding sale on Friday, November 1. There was a good demand for fat and store sheep and all lines were disposed of at auction. A full yarding of cattle came forward, the entry of store cattle being an exceptionally large one, but there was only fair competition, the majority of the pens being passed. Fat hoggets, 335. 6d.; fat 2-ths, 275., 275.
