NO FLYING BEFORE DECEMBER.
(Special by Russell Owen.) Received Wednesday 9.55 p.m. BAY OF WHALES, Sept. 17.
We have been passing through one of’ the coldest periods evor recorded here. The average for the first 15 Jays of this month has been 51 Jegrees below zero, much lower than Jhat recorded by Amundsen. The geological party will go south to the Queen Maud mountains' in October, when it is believed the temperature will become dccidely warmer, but it is unlikely that any flying will be done before December.
