DEATH FROM SCALDS,
Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Last Night. \n inquest was held into the death of John Joseph Tubberiy,. aged .10 months, who died in Auckland hospital last night. The Coroner in returning a verdict that the causo of death, was pneumonia, following scalds accidentally received through upsetting a pot The mother of the child, Mrs Delia Tubbcrty,' said that on the evening of September 4, a pot of tea had been put on the kitchen table. . The child had been left momentarily in the room with a girl aged five. She heard a crash of something falling and a scream from tho Tittle giri, and it was discovered that the child Md upset the pot of tea over He was Bcalddd « the left side of the face and body. She coated his body w. t h carbonate of soda and flour and m o few minutes the child was taken hospital.
