Palmerston North Rates Are Coming in Well

£15,196 COLLECTED.

The Town clerk (Mr J. R. Hardie) informed a Times representative yesterday that of the total £79,898 due in rates for Kio Palmerston North borough £15,190 had already been collected. Mr Hardie stated that this amount could be regarded as quite satisfactory and practically on a par with the amount collected by September 17, of last year. The rates were the same this year as in 1928, therefore substantially the same amount remained to be collected.
