Kitchen Tea. On Monday evening, a kitchen tea

social and dance in honour of Miss H. Wagsitaff, whose marriage takes placo shortly, was held in. tho Pohangina hall. A pleasant evening was spent in dances, competitions and games, while songs by Miss M. Balmer and Mr A. Balmer were much appreciated, both responding to enthusiastic calls for more. During the evening a dressmaking competition was held, which caused much merriment, the winners being Messrs. A. Balmer and G. Wagstaff. A “lucky spot” waltz was won By Miss M. Balmer and Mr J. Galvin. On behalf of those present Mr G. Passey made the presentation and referred

to Miss Wagstaff’s popularity in the district, where she had resided all her life. In social and all other function* she would be greatly missed, but on her departure she would carry away with her the best wishes of her many friends in Pohangina. Miss Wagstaff assisted by Mr George Wagstaff then proceeded to unwrap the many presents revealing many useful kitchen Mr G. AT agstaff, on behalf of Ms daughter, suitably replied. The evening closed with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne” and “She’s a Jolly Good Fellow.”
