DEATH OF AN ACTRESS
Blood transfusions failed to save the life of Gladys Brockwell, whose death is reported from Los Angeles. She was fatally injured when her .car driven by Stanley Brennan, her publicity man, dived down a high bank. Brennan, who was not seriously injured, said the smash was caused when he was temporarily blinded in a whirl of dust.
