SPLENDID CONCERT ARRANGED. Tho Willard Home executive has arranged a first-class concert in the Opera house on Wednesday, August 28, in aid of the funds. The Palmerston North Orpheus Society has generously offered its assistance and will be heard in a number of concerted items. The male choir has shown continued improvement and its appearance will be very welcome. Miss Doreen Saunders will appear in musical monologues and recitations. This young performeT gained quite a reputation at tho Auckland competitions, her work being described as brilliant and meriting special compliments by the judge. Leading vocalists have consented to assist, and the programme will be advertised later. The public will show its interest in the home by its patronage of the entertainment and assisting in providing funds for a most humanitarian work.
