Smith, playing with confidence and coolness, yesterday reduced much of his leeway and carried his unfinished break to 770. Later, he made another 743. Scores at the close of play were: — Lindrum 11,145, Smith 10,704. Lindrum had a very lean time. The match will bo continued over the coming week.
