To-night, in the Oddfellows' hall, Cuba street, the Social Club will hold its usual weekly euchre tourney when a good evening’s amusement is assured to all patrons. The prize list contains eight good and useful prizes. Supper will be provided and play commences as 8 o’clock sharp. Allegations were made at a meeting of the Hawke’s Bay Education Board that a Minister of the Crown had been “got at” with the object of authorising a new school at Kei Kei, East Coast, after the proposal had been turned down by the inspectors and the Director of Education. The board decided to protest against its erection as it would interfere with the school at IVaipiro Bag
