The directors' report showed:—Milk for cheese making, 1,901,185 lbs.; buttorfat for cheese-making, 7,941,9921b5., average test. 4.17; cheese made, 209,jfillbs! (93 tons lOcwt. Oqrs. lllbs.); tbs. milk to lb. cheese, 9.071b5.; lbs. cheese to lb. butterfat, 2,6371b5.; cost lb. cheese on rail (manufacturing cost only), 9Sd. 'i'he sum of £790 Os fid was shown as a credit to the working account the directors recommending it to be dealt with as follows: —

The report and balance sheet was adopted. Messrs Massie and Pawson were again .re-elected directors. Mr. Walter Dobson, F.P.A. (N.Z.) was re-appoint-ed auditor, with Mr. D. Kaviour Smith, F. 1.1.5. as secretary Mr. Mclntyro was re-elected chairman being in his oth term of office.

The annual meeting of the Dannevirke Co-op. Dairy Co. Ltd., took place at, Umutaora on Thursday, tho chairman, Mr. M. Walslio presiding. The report and balance sheet were adopted. The directors report as follows: Milk received, 2,862,0271b5.; butterfat, 122,9631b5.; average test, 4.29; cheese made, 312,7971b5. (139 tons 12ewt. 3qr. 91b.); lbs. cheese to lib. cheese, 9.351b5.; lbs. cheese to lib. butterfat, 2.5451b5.; cost of manufacture per lb. cheese placed on trucks at Mon-gat-era (including all expenses of every kind and amount written off), and taking into consideration amouut received for whey cream, Jd. The report added: The season just closed has been one of the most successful since the commencement of the present company, which has now just terminated its twenty-ninth year.From an output point of view it has been the most successful since the year 1917; Since the season 1925 we have shown a gradual but steady increase and the output for 1928-1929 has more than doubled that of season 1925-1926. We wish to state that we have every confidence for the future and with tho same loyal support of the dairy farmers in the district we can look forward to still further output for many seasons /to come. The pay out for the past season, we are quite safe in saying, has been the best in the district, and will compare more than favourably with any similar factory in the North Island, due to what we consider careful handling of our produce. After writing off the sum of £SB 2s Gd, there remains a balance at credit of Profit and Loss Account of £1042 13s 7d and the directors recommended that same be dealt, with as follows: Further payment of 2d per lb. butterfat for the whole of the season, absorbing £1024 13s lOd; balance to carry forward, £l7 10s 9d; total £1042 13s 7d; making a total payment for the season of Is Sd per lb. butterfat. Messrs W. Walslie and E. W. Bradford were elected-to fill two vacancies on the directorate. A hearty vote of thanks was aecorded Mr. Druce, retiring director for his past services. Mr. C. H. Thompson, was congratulated on the efficient manner in which lie carried out, his duties as secretary, which position lie lias held for the past ten years. It. was rosolvfed that Mr. Thompson receive an increase in his salary plus a bonus of £lO for his past year’s sen-ices.

The directors' honorarium was increased from 5s to 7s 6d per meeting, the chairman being voted £5 ss. Tho manager and his assistants were spoken highly of as regards the excellent work accomplished during the season. Messrs Eunciman and Webley. A.P.A. (N.Z.), were re-appointed auditors at an increased fee of £8 Bs. A vote of condolence was passed to Mr. M. Wolley, a director, in his recent sad bereavement. It was resolved to instal electric power at the factory. Mr. M. Walshc was again elected chairman of directors for the ensuing year, while Mr. C. H. Thompson still retains his position as secretary. Mr. and Mrs. P. G. Cowper have gone to Christchurch on a visit. Ormondville.

Air. and Mrs. E. Groom have taken a farm at Ngamoko, Norsewood. Mrs. H. J. Newling is confined to bed with an attack of influenza. Her many fiiends wish her a speedy recovery. Takapau.

The Ecv. Archibald E. Hunt “The Manse,” Takapau, presided over the annual meeting of tho Daffodil Society (Presbyterian Church), on Thursday evening. The report and balance sheet were adopted.

Election of officers resulted:—Mes* dames W. G. Morton and W. Jackson as hon. secretaries and Miss Gamble as treasurer.

Mr. J. Leigh topped the score at the Triangular match of the local Miniature Rifle club held last evening.
