United Press Association—By Electric Teicgrapfi —Copyright. SYDNEY, July 4. Further exhumations of former Sydney citizens are being made by workmen at the City Hall. Some of the bodies have lain undisturbed for 123 years. Thero were no headstone over tho graves and vaults which are now being cleared out. Some of tlio coffins were lying in wet clay in a remarkable state of preservation. Tho graves indicate that tho winding track of a century ago that has now become George street has gradually encroached upon tho burial ground.
