In the semi-final of the men s singles Henri Coehot (France) beat W. I. Tilden (America), 6—4, 6—l, 7 ?> Jean Borotra (France) beat Austin (England), 6 —l, 10 —S, 5 7,6 1. In the semi-demi finals of the men’s doubles, Lott and Hennessey (America) beat Oliff and Kingsley (England) 6 —3, 11 —9, 5 —7, 62. In the semi-demi final of tho mixed doubles, Gregory and Miss Ryan (England) beat Allison and Mrs Helen Jacobs (America), 6—o, 9—7. In the semi-demi final of the ladies singles, Miss Ridley beat Mrs Bundy, ° To-day’s tennis results at Wimbledon assure an all-French final and the reitemtipn of tho championship for the sixth year in succession. Austin was ineffective against Borotra. _ Coehet owed his victory net only to his magnificent tennis, returning apparently un take able shots, but to Tilden's mistaken strategy in expending energy in fierce services.
