MASSEY COLLEGE STUDENTS’ BALL

' Kp%«BOarAOTOAB EVENT.

Tho A. and P. hall, Cuba street, Palmerston North, was transformed last evening for the -pleasure of the Massey College students’ annual ball. Sitting. out alcoves were made into cosy lounge rooms. Mr. G. Adams, who' was responsible for the decorations, showed much originality, and tho colours of the college, blue and maroon, dominated the scheme. The supper

room was particularly inviting. Coloured streamers made a starting point from the centre to spread over the tables like a maypole, while ferns and autumn leaves,, with silver candlesticks holding coloured handles, made a pretty finish. Trellis wtjk was engagingly set out to have .a most realistic appearance of growing ferns. Thousands of coloured lights and hundreds of flags added brightness to tho scene.
