The Minister of Trade and Customs, Mr. Gullctt, mado a statement to-day to the effect that the Federal government would stand or fall by its decision to abolish the Arbitration Court, whose awards are flagrantly flouted by sections of the workers. Mr. Gullett added: “We must have a great efficiency drive from the top to the bottom to oscapc one of the worst depressions Australia has ever known. I would like to see the return of tho 48 hours week and the establishment of piece-work!”
