FOXTON HARBOUR BOARD MEETING

BEACH KOAD DISCUSSED.

Mr. J. Linkkter, H.P., presided at the monthly meeting of the Foxton Harbour board, held at Palmerston North yesterday. Also present were Messrs J. A. Nash, M.P., W. E. Barber, R. Edwards, G. Blenkhorn, M. E. Pel" reau, B. Bryant and A. J Kellow. Re-opening Port. Mr. Porreau informed the meeting that in company with the secretary, he had inspected T.S.S. Himatangi which had been purchased by a Foxton company to trade to the port. The speaker stated he was much impressed with the vessel, which experts had said was ideal for the purpose. Mr. Perrcau extended an invitation to the board members to be present at a function on the vessel arranged by the company and the Foxton Chamber of Commerce, to be held to-morrow. “It is going to be a redllettcT day for Foxton,” were the speaker's final words.
