RAMSAY MacDONALD LIKES AIR TRAVEL

BETTER THAN ANY OTHER, British Official Wireless. RUGBY, June 20. The Prime Minister arrived at Hendon this afternoon by aeroplane, from Lossiemouth. It was the first time the Prime Minister had ever flown.- A halt was made about midway, at Catt-erick, Yorkshire, where Mr. MacDonald took luncheon with the officers of the Royal Air Force. Squadron Flight-Lieutenant Hcslop, the pilot of the machine, did not take a straight line from Lossiemouth to Catteriek. After leaving Lossiemouth he made for the east coast of Scotland, flying over Banff to Aberdeen. Skirting the coast he crossed tho Firth of Forth near tho Forth bridge. Mr. MacDonald obtained a splendid view of Edinburgh with the castle. After crossing the Firth of Forth the machine crossed the Cheviot Hills, and then turned slightly westward■ to Cattcrick. Here a number of machines awaited tho Prime Minister to escort him to the air station. On resuming tho flight, Lieutenant Hcslop skirted the industrial Midlands. The Prime Minister on alighting at Hendon observed. that air travel was better than any other.
