HEAVY RAINS CAUSE FLOODING IN OTAGO

TWO INCHES IN 48 HOURS. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Last Night. The rain has ceased. The total for 48 hours in Dunedin was just under two inches. There is flooding on the Taieri' Plains and ' the Outraim train ( was unable to get through this morning. There is also.a road blockage at Waipori, but there are no indications of a serious flood. There is about 12 feet of water at Bushey bridge, near Palmerston South ,and motorists have to entrain between Palmerston South and Oamaru. Tho Kakanui river is also over its banks.
