Stanway
From Our Own Correspondent.
Cribbage. On Monday evening the Kimbolton eribbage players visited Stanway to meet the local A team. As these are so far the two leading teams, great interest was centred in this tourney and much excitement prevailed throughout the evening. Though the weather was bitterly cold the card room with a huge log fire blazing cheerily was exceedingly cosy and bright, and an enjoyable supper terminated a very pleasant time. The result of the tourney was 27 OS, the honours going to Ivimbolton.
General. A number of our young people journeyed to town on Saturday afternoon to witness the Fcilding and District Hockey Association’3 affiliated clubs’s tourney played at Victoria park and in which members of the local boys’ team took part. A visit to the pictures at Halcombo in the evening ter minated a very enjoyable day.
