MANAWATU REPRESENTATIVE FIXTURES
JUNE 22 v. HOROWHENUA,
At last evening's _ meeting of the Manawatu Rugby District council, a letter was received from the Horowbenua council, suggesting Juno 22 as the date for the Manawatu-Horowlicmia fixture, with Shannon as a possible venue. It was also suggested that a B representative game be played again this year. The date suggested was approved and it was decided to play both A ami B games. The secretary was instructed also to inquiro from Horowhcnua whether Wednesday, July 10, would be a suitable date for the return game. In suggestin g that this game be played on a Wednesday, the management committee took into consideration the fact that the club competitions would be interrupted if the game were played on a Saturday. The opinion was expressed that the competitions should be interrupted as little as possible. 'flic Daunevirkc sub-union also wrote asking for suggestions as to a convenient date for the annual Southern Hawke's Bav-Manawatu fixture, which this year is to be played at Palmerston North. It was decided to suggest August 17.
