ENGLISH COUNTY CRICKET GAMES
LAST WEEK’S RESULTS. Pitted Press Association—By Electrit Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, May 24. The following are the results of English county cricket matches:— Middlosex v. Worcester: Middlesex in the first innings made 453 (Lee 91, Ilearno 82, Haig 130). Worcester in the first innings made 167 (Gibbons 81; Haig four for 14) and in the second innings 96 (Enthoven five for 35). Middlesex won by an innings and 190 runs.
Warwickshire v. Yorkshire: Warwickshire in tho first innings scored 530 for 7 and declared (Smith 142, Santati 109). Yorkshiic in the first innings scored 307 for 6 (Leyland 96). The match was drawn. Leicester v. Surrey: In the first innings Leicester made 408 (Dawson 103, Berry 102) and in the second made 52 for one wicket. Surrey in the first innings scored IS6 (Astill 5 for 79) and followed on, compiling 273 (Ducat 88, Astill 7 for 99). Leicester won by nine wickets.
Sussex v. Lancashire: Sussex in tin first innings made 466 (Dulecpsinhj 134). Lancashire in the first inning: scored 215 (Iddon 65) and followed on compiling 356 in t.ho second inning: (Bowley 4 for 53). Sussex won by at innings and 95 runs. Hampshire v. Glamorgan: Hampshire in the first innings made 172 and u the second 166 (Mercer 4 for 46) Glamorgan in the first innings madi 228 (Kennedy 6 for 63) aud in the second made 69 (Kennedy 8 for 24) Hampshiro won by 41 runs. Kent v. Somerset: Kent in the iirst innings made 315 (Ames 74; Wellard 6 for 108) and in the second innings 63 (Wellard 4 for 28, White 5 for 20). Somerset in tho first innings made 166 (Freeman 5 for 67) and in the seconS innings 123 (Freeman 6 for CO). Kent won by 89 runs. Oxford v. Nottingham: Oxford in tho first innings made 447 (Barber 119, Ford 151) and in the second 22f> for 7 and declared. Nottingham in the first innings made 346 (Gunn 86) aud iu the second 235 for S (Whysail 84). Tho match was drawn. Essex v. Cambridge: Essex in the first innings made 293 (-Morris 67; Drakes 5 for 70) and in the second innings compiled 297 for 4 (O’Connor, not out, 16S). Cambridge in tho first, innings scored 461 for 8 and declared (Killick 210, Grant 98, Turnbull 91). Tho match was drawn. Derby v. Northanfs: Derby in the first innings scored 142 and in the second innings made 281 for 7 and de dared. Northants in the first inninga made 219 aud in tho second 174 for 8. The match was drawn.
