STOCK SALES
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile’Agency Co. Ltd., reports: A large yarding of both sheep and cattle came forward for the usual weekly sale hold at Feilding. There was an unusually large attendance of the public, and although the bidding was at times very dragging, the bulk of the offering was sold under Ike hammer at satisfactory prices. Lambs were somewhat easier, while ewes sold at firmer rates. Cattle sold well. AVo quite:—Fat lambs .18s Od to 26s fid; 2-th ewes, 40s; ewes, 21s to 20s; wethers, 31s to 30s; empty ewes 14s to'2ls; b.f. lambs 13s to ISs; 4 and 6-year ewes, 28s 7d to 30s Od; 3-th wethers, 27s Od to 325; cows, £6 3s to £S; heifers, £6 to £8 13s; weaner heifers £2 to £4 10s; weaner steers £5 7s fid; springing cows £7 5s to £l2 ss.
