COMMITTEE MEETS. Mr. G. Pattlc presided over the meeting of the I-lokowhitu school committee . last evening, when there were also present Messrs Weston J. Smith, C. H. I Amos, G. Lane, F. llobbic, W. C. Dudley, E. D. Wycherley and T. J. Smith (secretary). An apology was received i'KSiu. Mr. Hepburn. The headmaster (Mr. C. S. Plang) reported that school had resumed yesterday after the term holidays with the roll tlio same as when the school had broken lip for tk« holidays.'

Mr. Weston J. Smith was elected act ing chairman during the temporary absence abroad of Air. Pattle.
