TO-DAY'S RECIPE
CHOCOLATE BISCUITS. .Dissolve two squares of chocolate with ono teaspoonful of water and a tcaspoonful of vanilla essence over the fire. Beat two heaping tablespoonfuls of sugar to a croam, add tho yolk of one egg, then the chocolate, sift in two heaping tablespoonfuls of flour, beat well and add two more heaping tablespoonfuls of flour and mix gently. Roll out lightly, cut in small rounds and bake on a butter tin for a few minutes in a moderate oven.
