Atlanta Finds Moir And Owen Uninjured

Amalgamated Wireless has advised from Danvin by radio that Pilot Brain’s Atlanta left at 9.30 this morning and returned in the evening, having found the Vellore machine at Cape Don. The aviators, Moir and Owen, arc uninjured and the machine is only slightly damaged) Atlanta’s transmitter failed shortly after leaving and the only signals received throughout the cruise were broken dashes. It is understood from other information that the airmen have been cared for by the lighthouse staff at Cape Don, which is 105 miles fi’om Darwin on the mainland side of Dundas Strait, separating Melville Island from Australia. ' Stranded Aviators to be picked up by Lighthouse Steamer Received Monday, 2 a.m. SYDNEY, May 26. Atlanta left Sydney on Wednesday morning, Pilot Brain having attended the Kookaburra and Southern Cross inquiry on Tuesday. He reached Brisbane the same afternoon and was joined by Mr. Robinson, manager of 4QG, Brisbane, as wireless operator and Mr. Compston as mechanic. Leaving Brisbane on Thursday morning, they reached Darwin yesterday and set out to-day to search the northern coast He found the Vellore machine with the right wing slightly damaged. The Government lighthouse steamer Kyogle has been instructed to pick up Moir and Owen and the machine and take them to Darwin. '
