KING’S BIRTHDAY TOURNEY. RECORD ENTRIES RECEIVED. The executive of the association is delighted with the splendid entries 'given for tho five and seven-aside tourney to be held on the polo grounds, Feilding, on Juno 3. No fewer than IOU teams have entered and this includes 70 visiting hockey teams. This will bo tho largest tournament held in New Zealand and all records have been broken, tho previous record being 68. Thanks to the generosity of the Feilding Jockey Club in placing the polo grounds ou the racecourse at "the disposal of tho hockey authorities, there j will bo ample accommodation and , grounds for the 600 players. Entries have come from various parts of tho North Island, including AVellington (15 teams), Carterton, Pahiatua, Dannovirke, AVanganui, Masterton, Lower Hutt, Petone, Norsewood, Taihape, Greytown, AVoodviilc, Marten and Parmerston North. Given fine weather, tho tournament will prove a record in every way.
