j After entering a loveless marriage in quest of military information sought by the Sultan of Morocco, she falls madly in. love with her husband's brother. This is the predicament of Jctta Gouda), ns the heroine in “The Forbidden Woman." which Paul L. Stein directed as a Do ZMilie special for !Pa the, and which will be on view at the Tivoli to-night. Miss Goudal as a si-rn spy, Zita, in the service of Morocco, wins the Jove of a French colonel, 'portrayed by Victor Marconi, who is stationed at a military outpost in her country. Later she falls in love with an internationally famous violinist, ■lean La Costc, portrayed by Joseph Sc-hildkraut. She is unaware that Jean is her husband's brother. He likewise is unaware that she is his brother’s wife. These complications sweep the
principals from Morocco to Paris and then back to ’Morocco for one of the most daring Jinnies ever seen in any picture. ‘‘The Forbidden AYoinaii” is a screen version of Elmer Harris’ gripping story, “Brothers.” Clara Be range r is the adapter. Others of prominence in tho supporting cast are Ivan LelietlcJf, and Joseph Norman. William 0. Do Alille supervised the production.
