Guy, asking the council to invite the Minister of Public Works to come if Peilding to meet a deputation ou the subject of Palmreston North’s representation on the Manawatu-Oroua Power Board. —in “receiving” the letter, the council regretted that it was unable to act iu the manner suggested. Following on the consideration of Mr. Guy’s letter, the following resolution was moved by Cr. P. S. Guy and seconded by Cr. * PI. Stewart: That this council supports the Peilding Chamber of Commerce in its objection to Palmerston North’s preponderance of representation ou the Manawatu-Oroua Power Board, so long as that borough refuses to join up on the same basis as other boroughs in tho board’s area.

The resolution was carried and it was decided to forward copies to the Minister of Public Works and to the member for Oroua.
