CANCER COMMITTEE FORMED IN DUNEDIN

EXPERT CONSULTATIONS. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, May 17. The honorary medical staff wrote to the Otago Hospital board yesterday notifying tho formation of a special cancer committee consisting of the surgeon, tho chief of staff, the radiologist, gynaecologist or other specialists concerned, the physician or surgeon in charge of the particular case investigated, also the pathologist, tho bacteriologist and the surgical tutor. The purpose of tho committee is that frequent consultations be held upon cancer cases in hospital and other cases referred to it for tho advantage of tho sufferers and the advancement of the study of the disease. The com mittee will meet frequently, it is recommended, and report to the staff, making recommendations for the improvement in the investigation and treatment of cancer cases.
