Mrs. Gillingham is a visitor to Feilding and is the guest of her brother, Dr. Salmond. Miss Janet Crabbc, of Fcilding, is visiting Hamilton, as the guest of Mrs. A. H. Tompkins. Halcombe ladies challenged tho men to a return game of cribbage on Thursday evening. The match was very closely contested, the men winning by 26 to 24. Mrs. H. C. Gregory (Cecily Taylor), of Roy Street, Palmerston North, who is acting as adjudicator of the dancing section of the Masterton Competitions which commence on Monday, left for the Wairarapa to-day. At the monthly meeting of the Plunket society held yesterday, it was decided to have the rest room at tho Showgrounds, during tho winter show, for the benefit of tbo mothers and their babies. The rooms will be open in the afternoon only, from 1 o'clock until 5 jrun.
