HALCOMBE HOKEY DANCE
From Our Own Correspondent. Tho ladies and committee of the Athletic club aro to be congratulated on the success of their dance, held on Wednesday: evening. Tho oxtremely wintry elements, combined with the good music provided, made dancing a pleasure, and a thoroughly enjoyable evening was spent by the numerous patrons of the function. Tho interior of tho hall was decidedly in contrast to the outdoor conditions. The bright and varied frocks of tho ladies were seen to advantage beneath a canopy of multi-coloured streamers, while the stage was graced with effectively placed groups of pampas grass. Air Hansen ably filled the duties of M.C. Extras were played during the evening by Airs R. Alanagh and the Alisses Corbett, Iwikau and Airs G. Burgess. A waltzing competition was won by MrBrown and Air R. Williams.
