DANES APPRECIATE BULGARIAN YOUTH
ASKED TO COMB AGAIN. SOFIA. The experiment tried last year by the Sofia Y.M.C.A. of sending Bulgarian village boys to Denmark to learn modern agricultural and co-operative methods has proved so successful that another group of boys is to be sent this spring.
The Danish farmers who received the boys in their homes last summer are so pleased with the earnestness, fidelity and iudustry of these young Bulgarian helpers that they have asked for all the same boys back again next summer, and Mr H. Thorlo, the Danish educator and agricultural expert, who is responsible for the education, maintenance and supervision of the Bulgarian boys while in Denmark, has asked for some more boys under the same arrangement. King Boris, of Bulgaria, has given Mr Thorlo a medal in recognition of his work, and Bulgarian agricultural experts are arranging to send 25 more Bulgarian boys to Denmark in April. The initiator of this project was Samuel Vasileff, a Sofia banker and one of the leaders of the Y.M.C.A. in Sofia.
